HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR JOB TO A BUNCH OF FIVE-YEAR-OLDS?
When an episode comes to me it looks really flat and grey and has no pretty graphics in it. When it leaves me it looks shiny, sparkly and colourful.

FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?
Wherever there’s a comfy corner and good story, whether it be a book, a show, a movie or a game.

WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU MOST IDENTIFY WITH?
An owl for sure.

Easy Eats, I love food shows so that was fun getting to be on the other side of one.

Bailey has three loves. His family, story-telling and rugby. Add that up and he is the leader of all things Pango. With a burning desire to influence the world through Māori storytelling, he is at least in the top three Producers in his house!

Managing a bunch of 5 year olds….

WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY VIEWING PLEASURE?
Kardashians….Don’t mind a bit of a binge now and then lol. Also at the other end of the scale it’s not necessarily guilty but Country Calendar is legit as good a storytelling as you will find, and I hope by saying this people forgive the Kardashians part hahaha.

FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?
The East Coast of the North Island of NZ. Ngati Porou country. The best place in the world. Don’t tell anyone.

WHO WOULD PLAY YOU IN YOUR BIOPIC?
Jaoquin Phoenix. When I was younger and skinnier people said i looked like him and also because he won best actor at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Professional motion graphic designer by day, gamer by night, Gie spends most of her time making something or destroying noobs in game. Driven by curiosity, you’d mostly find her embarking on a hot new project to add to the list of other projects she’s obsessed about during the week – whether it be making her own clothes, trying her hand at drawing or adding a new plant baby to her space. Perhaps one day she will actually finish illustrating that children’s book she’s been working on since she graduated.

WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY VIEWING PLEASURE?
I really like listening to serial killer documentaries. True crime podcasts/series is my jam when I’m working/driving.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS?
I can fold all my fingers to the first knuckle. It has saved my life twice as far as I remember. I can hold on to any ledge, no matter how small it is.

WHAT FUN APP NEEDS TO BE INVENTED?
It would be really really cool if there is an app that you can use that accurately says what font they used, and colour hex code straight from your phone, or even find out who made it!

Born in the 50s, and bred out West (Tāmaki Makaurau). Glen has been gainfully employed in the film & TV industry since the 70s. Humble Glen quotes “I’m quite good at this video editing”, but we all know there are no hiccups when we work with this guy.

Like when the Power Rangers combine, I am its hands and feet. I punch, I lift, I shoot, I kick and I run. The Pango Ranger!!

WHAT FUN APP NEEDS TO BE INVENTED?
An app with a voice that says “Shush!”, out loud when, your phone detects someone who has reached the ‘talking limit’. The limit is adjustable to your personal preference’s at the time of course. That also has a feature with the a voice that says “That’s a dumb question!”

Jasmine is a numbers girl, she wields her calculator like it’s a deadly weapon but luckily for everyone at Pango – she’s only slaying excel spreadsheets. This is her first experience in TV production and so far so good. Jasmine likes nothing more than to raise her glass of vino in celebration of the awesome content the Pango team are producing.

Well you like getting pocket money don’t you? Well I’m the lady with the wallet!

A beaver, because like a beaver I always seem to be busy plugging holes.

I represented the Cook Islands in athletics once upon a time.

Singapore, it’s a great place to live.

Joe is an ideas man, some have got him into trouble… And the rest have been made into TV shows, digital content, promos, or some sort of moving pictures with sound. Tash is a hard worker who enjoys the day to day variety of working in post production here at Pango. An employer’s dream, Tash finds the idea of a 2 day weekend overrated and thinks that any more than one day off is unproductive. Much like a supermodel, the only time he leaves his house outside of work is if someone else is paying him to do it. Rather than being called cheap he prefers the term ‘financial minimalist’.

Imagine if someone was to go through your messy toy box, organise it and get it ready for you to pick and choose the toys you want to play with. That’s what I do.

Another annoyingly proud Tairawhiti native, Wairangi has spent 18 years trying to be skux in front of the camera on various programmes and broadcasts until someone finally worked up the courage to tell him he had a face for behind it. He’s obviously still in denial. He is now part of the iconic current affairs show, Marae and spent his first week on the job googling “what does a journalist do?”
