Another annoyingly proud Tairawhiti native, Wairangi has spent 18 years trying to be skux in front of the camera on various programmes and broadcasts until someone finally worked up the courage to tell him he had a face for behind it. He's obviously still in denial. He is now part of the iconic current affairs show, Marae and spent his first week on the job googling "what does a journalist do?"
